GSMAP SPI model showed a drier than normal condition in most parts of Luzon (except Nueva Vizcaya and Nueva Ecija and some parts of Palawan), most of Visayas and most parts of Central Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula while wetter than normal condition was observed in the remaining parts of Luzon and Mindanao. CPC Leaky Bucket Soil Moisture Model captured a noticeable decrease in soil moisture percentage in most parts of the country except in Ilocos Norte, Zambales, Tarlac and some parts of Mindanao were a slight increase of soil moisture percentage was observed.
